Cuervo y Sobrinos pays tribute to his most important client, the legendary Ernest Hemingway, winner of the Pulitzer Prize for Fiction and the Nobel Prize for Literature.
After a first limited series, which was a huge success, this time we are dealing with an entire collection, consisting of 3 pieces, which was presented on the occasion of Hemingway Days 2023.
Hemingway spent more than 20 years in Cuba and deeply loved the country for its Latin identity, the same identity that permeates and animates Cuervo y Sobrinos watches. And the brand’s new models are the first Swiss watches to be officially licensed by Hemingway Limited, an organization dedicated to this immense literary figure.
Historiador Hemingway Collection
Called Historiador Hemingway, the collection includes three watches: Icónico (two color variants) and The Fisherman GMT.
The first watch model (Icónico) is presented in vintage-inspired shades, with warm tones of cream or tobacco, which define Cuba.

The second (The Fisherman GMT), is inspired by one of the writer’s great loves: the sea.
Watch and literature lovers can choose between the cream or brown dials, both in a limited edition of 882 pieces.
While those who have been irretrievably enchanted by the sea can “get lost” in the deep blue of the GMT (The Fisherman) model, the edition is limited to 288 units.

With a diameter of 40 mm, all versions feature a stainless steel Historiador case, chosen for its vintage look. The Icónico is engraved on the back with the Hemingway logo, being matched with a leather strap and buckle with the CyS logo.
Instead, The Fisherman offers two straps: one blue-denim and one metallic, the open back revealing the mechanism and the oscillating weight. Each model benefits from quotes from the great writer’s work.
