Until now, the sound of Abbey Road Studios could only be experienced in the famous London studio. Today, however, Volvo is bringing it on board the EX90 with an innovation that reinterprets the journey: Abbey Road Studios Mode, available via a simple over-the-air upgrade, free of charge to all customers who have chosen the Bowers & Wilkins High Fidelity Audio system.
It is the first time that the sound atmosphere of one of the most emblematic locations in the history of music becomes accessible in a mobile space. Presets inspired by the acoustic characteristics of the studio, as well as the “Producer” mode – which allows for deep shaping of the sound, from stereo balance to tone color – give the driver the freedom to create their own interpretation of each song.
It all takes place in a space with one of the finest acoustics ever created in a Volvo: 25 meticulously placed speakers, 1610 watts of power, Dolby Atmos compatibility and a remarkably quiet cabin – the ideal backdrop for authentic music playback.
It’s more than just a software update. It’s a redefinition of how music is perceived in a vehicle. The Volvo EX90 thus becomes not just a premium electric SUV, but a moving listening room, where the sound retains all its nuances, depth and original emotion. An experience for those who know how to listen.
