XR 41 from X-Yachts, ORC World Champion – Class B

Racing

The high-performance sailing yacht builder, X-Yachts, based in Haderslev, Denmark, can now boast the title of world champion in the field of sailing. The new XR 41 – Formula X, won the title of 2025 ORC World Champion in Class B in August, in Tallinn, Estonia, securing victory even before the last race.

Just 18 months ago, X-Yachts set itself a bold goal: to design and build a yacht capable of winning the ORC World Championship. This vision has now been realized.

“It was an ambitious goal and few believed it could be achieved. But we believed in our mission and we succeeded. This victory is not only a tribute to the sailors on the water, but also to the extraordinary effort put into the development, construction and production of the XR 41 model,” says Kræn B. Nielsen, CEO of X-Yachts.

The result underlines the strength of X-Yachts: not only did Formula X, led by Jesper Radich, win the championship, but the XR 41 also took second place (DIXI 5, driven by Erik Stannow) and fourth place (EXCITER, driven by Jens Kuphal) in a fleet of 22 yachts.

“This shows that it wasn’t just about the skill of our racing team – the design and capabilities of the boat clearly have world-class potential,” adds Kræn B. Nielsen.

The X-Yachts Racing team has been watched by a cameraman throughout the championship, and a series of documentaries will soon be released on the company’s official YouTube channel: @XyachtsOfficial.
