The Cap Camarat 10.5CC has just over 10m and a central console architecture. This model is the newest presence in the line of Jeanneau sports models.

It is an ideal boat for a day at sea with friends or family, for fishing or for moments of relaxation. Equipped with beds and a bathroom, Cap Camarat 10.5 CC can also be inhabited overnight.

The aerodynamic shape characterizes the hull and, although it was designed as a fishing boat, the Cap Camarat 10.5 CC is suitable for any type of cruising, thanks to the multipurpose concept and dirt-resistant materials with which the cockpit and the relaying area in the bow are finished.

Two generous relaxation spaces

In fact, the two cockpits aft and bow are the strong point, the generous seats and the configuration possibilities amplifying comfort and relaxation in the sun.

A sufficiently well-equipped galley flanks the wheelhouse area – ergonomic and safe even at high speeds – which includes a sink, a cooker or grill (optional) and a refrigerator.

The distinctive element of the shape is the rather high V-shaped bow – the result of maximizing interior space – but also of the need to protect the passengers in the bow from the water.

This design hides or rather emphasizes the sporty-oriented character of the boat, its performance being impressive thanks to the two 425hp outboard engines from Yamaha or the three 300hp outboards from Suzuki.

But despite this display of strength, the Cap Camarat 10.5 CC is stable, safe and comfortable even at speeds around 45-47 knots.

A boat oriented towards leisure but also fishing

Anyway, in the details you can see the orientation of the boat towards fishing, being equipped as standard with five rod holders in the T-Top area that also protects the control area.

Other storage areas for rods and rods are located on the inside of the side boards on both the port and starboard sides, so that fishing can be carried out and at the same time any other activity can be carried out on board without people inconveniencing each other.

But since relaxation must come first, regardless of the activity, the large number of speckers in the cockpit is impressive, which by their arrangement at the front and rear offer a homogeneous distribution of sound without disturbing noise.

The rest of the areas that are not covered by the hard top are bathed in the sun, which allows passengers to enjoy sunbathing or swimming.

The door positioned on the port side provides access below deck, in the forward area to a master cabin – one of the largest in the segment, very useful for spending the night and very well ventilated and illuminated thanks to the porthole overlooking the deck.

Here there is also a refrigerator and a microwave, as well as a double bed (towards the stern), the space can be converted either for a sofa with a U-shaped sofa or into a bedroom.

The bathroom, which also includes the toilet, has a modern shape and has a separate shower.

Despite the size of the building, all spaces are conformable and airy, with enough space for the head and all the necessary equipment.

Practical and safe on the water

In the test, the concept of an almost open boat proved to be extremely practical, despite the less pleasant weather. On board you can easily pass between the bow and stern areas, and safely thanks to the high boards.

We took over the helm and operated the automatic trim of the two Yamaha XTO 425HP outboard engines, pressed forward and Cap Camarat reacted instantly, permanently offering the feeling of power – throughout the speed range.

Towards the wind and against the wave we reached 42 knots, which I found impressive given the weather conditions. At a slightly lower speed we made a few left and right turns with various rays to observe the stability of the boat.

I never had the feeling that the boat was unresponsive or out of control, even when I cut the wave directly. Of course, with the wind from the stern the maximum speed was towards 50 knots, and surfing was a real pleasure.

In conclusion, the 40 years of experience of the model, the undisputed leader of the segment, can be seen in every detail. In fact, the model also holds the title of “Powerboat of theyear 2023” in the range up to 10m, being considered the most versatile, conformable model with performance worthy of a speed boat.
